Hair Thinning and Hair Loss – Which is More Effective?

Minoxidil is the trade name for a medication that has proven to be an effective treatment for hair loss. It is sometimes used along with other treatments such as topical minoxidil and oral finasteride. It also may be used alone. Rogaine is available in both spray and liquid forms.

Minoxidil is a vasodilator that increases blood flow to the scalp and other parts of the body.

This allows nutrients and oxygen to reach the follicle and promote growth. Minoxidil doesn’t prevent hair loss or make hair grow thicker. The effects are only regarding the active ingredient – minoxidil. Because minoxidil doesn’t directly deal with the underlying hormonal cause of hair loss, its effects are at best only temporary. Therefore, topical minoxidil doesn’t address the condition of the problem.

The most common initial sign of cocaine use is a general thinning of the scalp.

It usually begins on the top of the head near the crown and moves downward. If you’re experiencing an extreme amount of thinning and you’ve tried other products without success, you may want to try it early on. At that point, it’s usually only a matter of time before you begin to see noticeable results.

Rogaine and minoxidil do have similar active ingredients.

They are made by the companies affiliated with the Propecia trademark, and they are both derived from minoxidil. While minoxidil is more commonly referred to as Rogaine, finasteride is marketed under the trade name Propecia. While minoxidil is more commonly called Rogaine, finasteride is marketed under the name Propecia.

Both minoxidil and Propecia come in many different formulations forms.

For example, some are available as a liquid, some are in tablets, some come in drops, and some even come in suppository forms. When you look at all the different options, it can be difficult to choose which one will work best for you. The good news is that both products have shown very positive results, but the best news is that either product has significantly fewer side effects than Propecia. That’s why it is considered by millions of men worldwide to be the number one hair loss treatment.

It is also important to understand that while these products are similar,

propecia and rogaine still have their own sets of side effects to consider. Finasteride has shown only mild side effects. These include depression, headache, dizziness, and nausea. Side effects associated with minoxidil are not generally considered to be negative, although they include diarrhea and vomiting. These side effects usually go away within a few days, or they are very mild.
